Instructions for Use
Wooden wick candle
Wooden wicks offer a warm flame and a gentle crackling sound, but require some precautions for optimal combustion. Here's how to use them properly:
1. Hold the match or lighter on the base of the wick (not on top). The wax needs to soak into the wood to make lighting easier.
2. Hold the flame on the wick for a few seconds until it is fully lit. If it goes out quickly, try again, keeping the flame on the base for longer.
3. Be patient, a wooden wick may require 2 to 3 attempts before lighting properly.
Wick care
• Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm (1/4 inch). A wick that is too long can create an unstable flame, while one that is too short may go out.
• Remove burnt wood residue before each lighting to avoid uneven combustion.
Duration and safety
• When using for the first time, allow the candle to burn until the wax melts evenly over the entire surface (2 to 3 hours) to avoid tunneling.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable objects, and out of reach of children and animals.
• To extinguish the flame, blow gently or use a snuffer.
With these precautions, enjoy a soothing atmosphere and a gentle crackling reminiscent of a wood fire.
